Judg 1:3

 …”Come up with me to my allotted territory, that we may fight against the Canaanites; and I will likewise go with you to your allotted territory.” NKJV

2 Sam 10:11-12

…”If the Syrians are too strong for me, then you shall help me; but if the people of Ammon are too strong for you, then I will come and help you. 12 Be of good courage, and let us be strong for our people and for the cities of our God. And may the Lord do what is good in His sight.” NKJV

Eccl 4:1, 9-12

1 Then I returned and considered all the oppression that is done under the sun:

And look! The tears of the oppressed,

But they have no comforter —

On the side of their oppressors there is power,

But they have no comforter.

9 Two are better than one,

Because they have a good reward for their labor.

10 For if they fall, one will lift up his companion.

But woe to him who is alone when he falls,

For he has no one to help him up.

11 Again, if two lie down together, they will keep warm;

But how can one be warm alone?

12 Though one may be overpowered by another, two can withstand him.

And a threefold cord is not quickly broken. NKJV

1Sam 23 David inquired; God said, David said, God said

2 Therefore David inquired of the Lord, saying….

4 And the Lord answered him and said….

10 Then David said, “O Lord God of Israel….

11 …And the Lord said….

12 …Then David saidAnd the Lord said, NKJV

A POEM BY ALISON TEED:

Hopes and Dreams and Him

Stirring, waking, turning,

Sensing His presence.

He waits patiently as

I come to full awareness.

We talk—me first, of many things:

The past, the present, the days to come;

The children, parents, friends, the world;

Hopes, fears, dreams of the future.

Intimacies every one.

He talks then:

Reassuring, promising faithfulness and caring;

Comforting, consoling.

I hear the birds begin to sing.

He’s listening to them.

Still time to rest before the dawn.

Rest on He whispers, rest on.

I move in close to him,

Nestled under the shelter of His mighty wing.

Content, secure, I close my eyes,

And sleep with thoughts of future plans,

And hopes and dreams and Him.

Ezra 10:1-2 weeping and confessing

Now while Ezra was praying, and while he was confessing, weeping, and bowing down before the house of God, a very large assembly of men, women, and children gathered to him from Israel; for the people wept very bitterly.  NKJV

Psa 75:1 Thanksgiving

75 We give thanks to You, O God, we give thanks!

For Your wondrous works declare that Your name is near.  NKJV

Psa 76:4, 6, 7 Praise

4 You are more glorious and excellent

Than the mountains of prey. NKJV

6 At Your rebuke, O God of Jacob,

Both the chariot and horse were cast into a dead sleep.

7 You, Yourself, are to be feared;

And who may stand in Your presence

When once You are angry? NKJV

Psa 77:1, 11-14 He hears

1 I cried out to God with my voice —

To God with my voice;

And He gave ear to me.

11 I will remember the works of the Lord;

Surely I will remember Your wonders of old.

12 I will also meditate on all Your work,

And talk of Your deeds.

13 Your way, O God, is in the sanctuary;

Who is so great a God as our God?

14 You are the God who does wonders;

You have declared Your strength among the peoples. NKJV

Psa 94:17-19 Hope

17 Unless the Lord had been my help,

My soul would soon have settled in silence.

18 If I say, “My foot slips,”

Your mercy, O Lord, will hold me up.

19 In the multitude of my anxieties within me,

Your comforts delight my soul. NKJV

Psa 95:1-3, 6-7 praise and worship

1 Oh come, let us sing to the Lord!

Let us shout joyfully to the Rock of our salvation.

2 Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving;

Let us shout joyfully to Him with psalms.

3 For the Lord is the great God,

And the great King above all gods.

6 Oh come, let us worship and bow down;

Let us kneel before the Lord our Maker.

7 For He is our God,

And we are the people of His pasture,

And the sheep of His hand. NKJV

Psa 96:9 humility

9 Oh, worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness!

Tremble before Him, all the earth. NKJV

Psa 138:1-2, 6 intimacy

1 I will praise You with my whole heart;

Before the gods I will sing praises to You.

2 I will worship toward Your holy temple,

And praise Your name

For Your lovingkindness and Your truth;

For You have magnified Your word above all Your name.

6 Though the Lord is on high,

Yet He regards the lowly;

But the proud He knows from afar. NKJV

Psa 139:13-18 intimacy

13 For You formed my inward parts;

You covered me in my mother’s womb.

14 I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made;

Marvelous are Your works,

And that my soul knows very well.

15 My frame was not hidden from You,

When I was made in secret,

And skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.

16 Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed.

And in Your book they all were written,

The days fashioned for me,

When as yet there were none of them.

17 How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God!

How great is the sum of them!

18 If I should count them, they would be more in number than the sand;

When I awake, I am still with You. NKJV

Psa 141:5 Intimacy

5 Let the righteous strike me;

It shall be a kindness.

And let him rebuke me;

It shall be as excellent oil;

Let my head not refuse it. NKJV

Isa 30:21 Hearing His voice

21 Your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying,

“This is the way, walk in it,”

Whenever you turn to the right hand

Or whenever you turn to the left.  NKJV

Matt 20:32-34 What do you want Me to do for you?

32 So Jesus stood still and called them, and said, “What do you want Me to do for you?”

33 They said to Him, “Lord, that our eyes may be opened.” 34 So Jesus had compassion and touched their eyes. And immediately their eyes received sight, and they followed Him. NKJV

Matt 21:21-22 You shall ask and you shall receive. Decree and it will be done by the authority given to you by Jesus.

21 So Jesus answered and said to them, “Assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but also if you say to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ it will be done.  22 And whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive.” NKJV

Acts 3:16 healing, faith believing

16 And His name, through faith in His name, has made this man strong, whom you see and know. Yes, the faith which comes through Him has given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all. NKJV
